Welcome to my blog. My name is Charles Holmes and I am the creator of the “Million Dollar Idea” Blog. I created this website to educate, help and inspire small business owners. My ultimate goal is to help thousands of people become successful entrepreneurs. More importantly, I want to share helpful ideas about the entire business development process. This includes the process of developing your core business idea, launching your business and growing your business.
I will share plenty of tips on all types of topics to include tax strategies, business plans, marketing tips, advertising secrets, online lead generation, online marketing, and more. Whether you have 10 employees or no employees, I will provide plenty of practical real-world solutions to help you succeed. And it doesn’t matter if you own an antique shop, a pet-grooming business, a worm farm, or a home-based business. I can help you take your business to the next level.
I am a Certified Small Business Coach and author of six books. More importantly, I have practical experience of starting and growing several businesses during the past nine years. Personally, I own two successful home-based businesses, but my greatest passion is teaching. I love to help others reach their goals, develop their potential and become the person they are capable of becoming. And I love business. When you combine those two things you have a recipe for success.
On a personal note, I am 34 years old and happily married. I grew up in a Skowhegan, Maine and had a wonderful childhood. After graduating high-school, I enlisted in the Army. Since then, I’ve had an exciting career doing lots of different things to include: Soldier, Army Officer, Insurance Agent, Author, World Class Performance Facilitator and entrepreneur. I’m formally educated with three degrees, but I am more proud of graduating from the “school of hard knocks.”
My hobbies include reading, writing, blogging, exercising, visiting yard sales and flea markets, treasure hunting, and making money online. In addition to this blog, I also have a highly successful treasure hunter website, network marketing website and Company Commander website. I currently reside in western Maryland with my wife, Rachel.
This blog launched on August 12th, 2011. Previously, CharlesHolmes.net was a website. I converted it from a website to a blog to build a larger online presence and have two-way interaction with my guests and fans.

My name is Wanda, I have a site with SBI. I was trolling around in the SBI forums today and found your sites. I haven’t spent anytime working on my site for quite sometime. I was checking out “ebooks how many pages” and I came across your comments.
I’ve been checking out your sites and smiling. I find I have a few things in common with you. I too have read Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich a few years back which began my journey. That led me to the Robert Kiyosaki seminars (of course I had to buy the Cash Flow game) smile; and the One Minute Millionaire by Mark Hanson. I then happened upon SBI. I knew VERY little to nothing about computers a few years back. It’s still a work in progress. And now a young man by the name of Charles Holmes will be added to my list.
I couldn’t leave the site without at least saying hello (although I need to be fixing dinner). Your site’s and ebooks have given me the shot in the arm that I needed today. Thank You. I’ll browse around another day when I have more time.
